The Bookmark Competition serves as a way to engage all 28 DEIS primary schools in Cork City\, fostering conversations about education and inspiring students to consider their future academic paths.\nFor more information on our primary school outreach programme visit the Access UCC website with the QR code below.  \nAbout the Competition \nThe Professor Fluffy ‘Design a Bookmark Competition’ has been running since 2016 to grow our engagement with DEIS primary schools across Cork City. This competition encourages 5th Class students to design a bookmark during College Awareness Week\nKey Details:\n•	The winning design will be printed as the official Professor Fluffy Bookmark 2025-26\, distributed to Cork City DEIS primary schools and Cork City Libraries.\n•	Prizes include a behind the scenes class trips to Fota Wildlife Park and the Mardyke Arena UCC\, book tokens & more.\n•	This initiative aims to spark conversations about college and university\, emphasizing the importance of early educational discussions.\n•	Prize winners will be invited to UCC for the Bookmark Launch and receive a replica of their design.

DESCRIPTION:The Homework club is a voluntary programme supported by university students to aid Junior cycle students in DEIS schools with their homework.  DEIS students have the opportunity to ask university students questions about university life and different college courses. This programmes supports DEIS students by not only encouraging them to do their homework but by enabling them to become more college aware through the interaction of speaking with a university student. UCC students are trained with communication skills and the various assistive technologies that provides them with the skills and knowledge to run homework club effectively.
