DESCRIPTION:The TUS Midwest Access Service continue our partnership again for 2025/2026 academic year with Thomond Community College and\nBusiness in the Community Ireland to offer the World of Work Programme. The main aim of this partnership is to positively affect educational inclusion and address key issues in areas of educational disadvantage in Ireland. This partnership between TUS Midwest Access Service and\nThomond Community College began in 2006\, and over the past 19 years\, 403 students have been introduced to the world of work. We are delighted to meet with 25 second year students at Thomand Community College this coming week during college awareness week for our meet and greet session to begin this initiative for the coming year.

DESCRIPTION:The Access Service remains committed to fostering inclusive\, supportive pathways into higher\neducation. As part of this commitment\, a series of targeted information sessions for parents and\nguardians are held throughout the academic year. These University Information Sessions for Parents\naimed to provide families with clear\, practical guidance on the university application process\, student\nsupport services\, financial assistance options\, and the role of the Access Service in supporting students\nfrom underrepresented backgrounds.\nRecognizing the pivotal role that families play in the educational journey\, the sessions are designed to\nbe interactive and informative\, encouraging open discussion and addressing some of the very common\nconcerns related to entering higher education. TUS Midwest Access Service are\ndelighted to continue to partner with education providers to offer support in this space regarding\naccessing higher education. One of our  partners this year include St Clement’s College\, who we are delighted be be visiting again during College awareness week.
