SUMMARY:Pathways to Education for International Protection Applicants
DESCRIPTION:TU Dublin Access and Outreach are hosting an information morning on the Grangegorman campus to celebrate College Awareness Week for professionals based in local community organisations working with International Protection Applicants. The morning will include an interactive information session which aims to demystify the terminology of the international protection process and set out the options to education for International Protection Applicants both before and after they receive a decision on their application.  In addition\, we will have speakers from the Irish Refugee Council and the TU Dublin Access Foundation Programme.

DESCRIPTION:The TU Dublin Access and Outreach team in partnership with EPIC\, Empowering People in Care proudly presents:  Embrace Our Stories\, a photography exhibition by children in care and young care leavers.\nThrough their images and voice recordings\, they invite people to learn about their stories of hope\, courage\, talent\, and achievement.  \n(Pack your headphones to hear directly from the young people themselves as you view their photography). \nWhat: Exhibition Launch – Embrace Our Stories\, a photography collection by children in care and young care leavers.\nCome along and engage with the photography exhibition over a morning coffee.\nWhen: The official TU Dublin launch of Embrace Our Stories is on Monday 20 November at 11 AM and you are invited!\nWhere: Back Foyer\, East Quad\, Grangegorman Campus\, TU Dublin\, Rathdown Lower\, Dublin 7.\nThis event and exhibition are part of TU Dublin’s College Awareness Week activities.\nThe exhibition will be on display from Monday 20th – Friday 25th November 2023.\nSpeakers include:\nKai Brosnan\, EPIC Youth Council member\nKai will reflect on developing the exhibition and the theme behind it\, as well as his own experiences as a care-experienced student.\nKai is in his third year of a Social Care degree at TU Dublin Blanchardstown campus.\nHe has participated in a number of projects to raise awareness about the care system and advocacy work to make a better for future children and young people in care and with care-experience.\nOne of the projects Kai led was creating resources for LGBTQI+ children and young people in care\, and for the people who work with them.
