Kildare Town Community school host ‘Career Events’

Kildare Town Community school will host a number of event to mark College Awareness week.

College Awareness week 22nd-26th November 2021 KTCS Activities.

Posters showing Teachers’s alma maters will be displayed on classroom doors.
Could teachers please spend 5 minutes to tell their classes about the
University/ College they attended, How they found it and the benefits of Going to college for them
There will be a competition to ‘Guess who went to what college’ on Thursday for students.
Information on the Benefits if Going to college will be displayed in the canteen.
The library will be open for students’ to view prospectuses and access information.
6th year students will all have had their Career Guidance interviews before their mentoring meetings the following week.

Monday 22nd November
Waterford IT will make a presentation to 5th years at 10.20am and 6th years at 2pm
Talk on CAO HEAR & DARE Application Talk for 6th years in Guidance room at 1.30pm
Tuesday 23rd November
Talk on Applying to UCAS in Guidance room. Talk for 6th years at 1.30pm
Thursday 25th November
Competition to guess Where KTCS teachers went to Third level
Friday 26th November & Saturday 27th November
Maynooth University Virtual Open day. Students can attend with teacher’s permission at 11.55-1.15pm in IT2.
