The Future Is Still Loading…
Do you know what you want to do after school? Have you changed your mind a few times already? To celebrate College Awareness Week 2026, Microsoft Dream Space is hosting a fun, interactive 45-minute LIVE exploring the different directions our futures can take and why nobody needs to have everything figured out just yet.
In collaboration with College Awareness Week, the Dream Space team will explore real stories from people navigating education, career choices and the world of work. Through honest conversations, unexpected experiences and short classroom challenges, students will discover how interests, decisions, opportunities and changes of plan can shape someone’s journey.
Students will be encouraged to challenge assumptions, predict what happened next in real-life journeys and consider the opportunities that might be waiting around the corner. Along the way, they’ll discover that changing direction, asking questions and exploring something new can all be part of figuring out what comes next.
The session is designed for post-primary students, including Junior Cycle, Transition Year and Senior Cycle learners. No previous knowledge of college pathways or career planning is required. Classes will need an internet-connected screen with audio to join the broadcast. Students do not need individual devices or accounts, with participation taking place through classroom discussion, quick decisions and interactive group challenges.
During this LIVE, students will:
– Recognise that education and career journeys can take different directions, with multiple pathways and opportunities available after school.
– Explore how personal interests, strengths, experiences and decisions can influence future education and career possibilities.
– Identify a useful question or practical next step they can take to learn more about their own future opportunities.
