Scoil Mhuire & Ide, host ‘Drop Everything and Be Inspired’

As part of College Awareness Week, teachers will share their educational journey and the path they took in becoming a teacher with their class. The purpose of this would be to show the students that there are many different ways of pursuing a career and that this can be done at any stage in their life. The following questions will be explored; The subjects teachers enjoyed in school. The career or course teachers wanted in school, the college they attended, the courses they completed, how all this linked together to where they are today. Overview of college life and the student experience.

Teachers will incorporate their college experience into material covered this week. There will also be short intervals throughout the week where everything stops and teachers share their experiences.
