TY students chose different colleges they had an interest in. They researched the colleges and put together posters which are on display in the guidance classroom.
All third year students will carry out research on a potential career using different search engines eg. Careers portal, CAO, Qualifax. They will do this with the assistance of the guidance counsellors. They will discuss their findings with their peers and parents.
Senior cycle students will attend a talk from Sligo IT to lean about potential courses and what life is like in college.
Lieutenant Sean Kerr spoke to senior students about the different careers in the army. He did a powerpoint presentation for TY, 5th and 6th yr students and also spoke about his daily activities, training and future plans for his career in the Irish army. The session ended with a question and answer session.
Senior students will attend a talk from DCU to learn about the different courses, facilities and life in this college.
