An Inspiring Launch to CAW 2020
It was an inspiring e-launch to the start of CAW 2020 as Simon Harris TD, Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, representatives from Perrigo Company, Immunologist Luke O’Neill, students from City Quay National School and Carndonagh Community School all gathered together on zoom to celebrate the start of CAW 2020.
As always, students were central to the event. This was summed up perfectly by Minister Harris:
“I wish you the best of luck, particularly you the students. This week is about YOU. You can do whatever you want in life-dream big! There are so many options and different ways to get where you want to be in life.”
The e-launch proved tús maith leath na hoibre as organisers of CAW events heard our call-to-action and adapted to the challenges COVID-19 presents without losing the “college-aware” spirit. Even before CAW 2020 kicked off we had over 1,000 activities logged from all four corners of Ireland.
Thank you again to all participants at the e-launch, it was your tenacity and creativity that made it so successful!
